Free Address Book is an interesting application that helps you keep track of all your personal or business contacts. Although there is a wide variety of places where you can store information about your contacts, like your cell phone or e-mail contact list, Free Address Book offers you a practical way to keep a full set of information about all your contacts right at hand. Besides, the program also offers a portable edition, so you can access your contacts' information everywhere.

When you create a new contact, you can provide a complete set of information such as his/her first, middle and last names, personal title, day of birth, two land line and two mobile phone numbers, a fax number, a website URL, two e-mail addresses and a photo. Besides, you can also include his/her company's details, such its name, account number, tax number and register number. As for the location, you can also register your contact's country, state, city, ZIP code and mailing address. There is also an open field called "Note" where you can add any additional piece of information about your contact, though the program also allows you to manage custom fields. This means that you can create your own fields to save even more specific information about your contacts.

Besides saving and displaying your contacts' information, Free Address Book still provides you with additional helpful functions. For example, you can set birthday reminders for your contacts and classify them into groups. Also, you can create a backup of your contacts' database, import/export it from/to CSV files and select the fields that will be included in case you decide to print a contact's information card.

All in all, I would say that Free Address Book is a very advisable tool for those who usually deal with lots of contacts and need to have all their detailed information right at hand.
